Iceland is in the middle of what appears to be its largest whale-culling in years, against the worldwide moratorium on whale-hunting, culminating in the recent explosive harpooning of an endangered blue whale (possibly an even rarer hybrid). Until Iceland and the Faroe Islands stop this barbaric, brutal practice, Triskelion Yarn will be boycotting them. This means that no Triskelion products will ship there, and no lopi yarn will be bought. No patterns will be bought from Icelandic and Faroese designers. Any yarn business – including designers – who support Icelandic or Faroese businesses or tourism will also be boycotted by Triskelion Yarn.
This bloody, cruel and utterly barbaric practice must end.
