I’ve just taken my Mama Qucha Swedish Lace shawl off the loom and am fairly pleased with the results. The colour is gorgeous – I think it is Karenia, but the skeins never got labelled up so it might have been one of Caerthan’s trial colours. The overall swedish lacey-ness is as I hoped for – very open, but at the same time warm and comforting – just as a shawl should be!
On the down side I could have made it a bit longer, and I don’t feel I’ve got it as fulled and fluffy as nicely as it could be. The structure is quite delicate, so I feel I need to be a gentle with it. I could work on that bit more, but Caerthan thinks it’s okay as is so I’ll probably stick with his opinion.
